Morning Sickness

Morning sickness without the pregnancy...just another side effect of high estrogen levels due to the Estrace. I've noticed that if I stay clear of carbs it helps, but I guess it's just preparing me for what is to come, hopefully :)

Infertility Timeline

April 2010: After two months of being married we decide to try to have a baby

September 2010: I feel like something is wrong and send Farmie to the Dr for a semen analysis. We learn that he has a low sperm count and morphology.

June 2011: IUI #1 fails

August 2011: IUI #2 fails

August 2011: We see a specialist to learn more about IVF. They do an ultrasound on me. Everything checks out fine.

September 2011: Bloodwork is done on both of us for disease and hormone levels. Everything checks out fine.

September 17th, 2011: They put me on birth control to control my cycle

October 6th, 2011: Hysteroscopy is done. Everything checks out fine.

October 7th, 2011: 2nd round of birth control so that I don't have a period and they can continue to control my cycle

October 13, 2011: Fertility class

October 21, 2011: Stop birth control pills

October 26, 2011: Start hormones 300 Gonal-F, 20 HCG

October 30, 2011: Dr increases dose to 450 Gonal-F, 20 HCG

November 4, 2011: Same dose add Ganirelix

November 5, 2011: Labs and U/S, same dose add another Ganirelix

November 6, 2011: Labs and U/S, morning dose, evening Trigger Shot

November 8, 2011: Egg Retrieval

November 13, 2011: Our Day 5 transfer didn't happen, 5 made it to the blastocysts stage and were frozen through vitrification

December 16, 2011: Start Lupron injections, 10 units at 7pm daily

December 19, 2011: Last day of birth control, continue Lupron injections

December 30th, 2011: Labs & U/S, Lupron is reduced to 5 units, Estrace at 7 am & 7 pm

January 3rd, 2012: Labs & U/S, Lupron remains the same, Estrace is doubled, thyroid medication is reduced

January 6th, 2012: Labs & U/S, Lupron remains the same, Estrace added (2 pm 2mg dose)

January 12th, 2012: Labs & U/S, stop Lupron, Estrace reduced to twice daily 2mg, start Medrol, start Doxy, start Progesterone

January 16th, 2012: Labs, last day of Medrol and Doxy, Estrace and Progesterone remain the same

January 17th, 2012: One Lucky Embryo is Transfered!!

February 4th, 2012: after two low and declining Beta tests we have a miscarriage

Natalie 7 years old-in foster care w/ grandparents since 1/2009, placed with bio father 1/2011

Nathan 5 years old-in foster care w/ grandparents since 1/2009, placed with bio father 1/2011

Baby J 19 months-in foster care w/ grandparents since 1/2009, placed with bio father 3/2010, continued open relationship with bio dad and we have provided respite care outside of the foster care system

Emergency Placements:

Baby Cammie 2 years old-in foster care w/ grandparents

Kyle 5 years old-placed in a foster home

Cameron 3 years old-placed in a foster home

Payton 18 months-placed in a foster home

Patrick 2 years old-placed in a foster home
